SAVED FESTIVAL 2012: Bands revealed; Tickets now available

Yes, following the announcement that SAVED FESTIVAL 2012 will happen on October 26, 2012 and more details were given via their Facebook page. The grand worship event is set to take place at the Mall of Asia Arena and will start at 7PM. This annual festival gathers people from all over the world to lift up the name of Jesus together with Filipino believers. New bands were named to lead the worship night.

There's Desperation band from New Life Church in Colorado that has recorded multiple albums with Integrity music, including “Who You Are”, the critically acclaimed “Everyone Overcome”, and the band’s first studio worship album “Light Up The World”, which was Jon Egan’s first shot at producing! In addition to Desperation Band albums, they have also been featured on three New Life Church recordings… 2006′s “My Savior Lives”, 2008’s “Counting on God”, and the most recent church album “You Hold It All.”

Then the Katinas - the family of five brothers hails from American Samoa, and moved to Washington, USA after the death of their mother in 1988.They put on a benefit concert called "Hope for Samoa" for the victims of the 2009 Samoa earthquake. And in October 2008, the Katinas performed at the Rock Church in San Diego, California in support of Proposition 8 and the banning of same-sex marriages in California.

And the Abandon, a Christian rock band from Texas. The group has five members: brothers Josh (lead vocals) and Justin Engler (guitar), cousins Stevan (guitar) and Dave Vela (drums), and Bryan Fowler (bass). They signed onto ForeFront Records in late 2007 and released the Abandon EP in July 2008. Their first single "Providence" was released to radios in August and has reached #7 on R&R's Christian rock charts. The group's name was inspired by the Bible verse of Joshua 22:3, which reads "God has directed us not to abandon any brothers".

Also joining Saved Festival 2012 are local bands Gloryfall from Manila that has conducted numerous worship seminars and evangelistic concerts throughout the Philippines and Paglaum worship team from Cebu.

This is promising and I know many are excited especially who were at the Saved Festival last year at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. I'm just a little sad that the venue was changed since SM Mall of Asia is too far from home. But I'm still interested and will pray for the success of this event. May the name of Jesus be lifted up and through this event, many will bring back all the glory to Him only.

Tickets are now available! The price range is still as good as last year's from PhP 250 to PhP 1,500. And you may purchase it online via SM tickets website or reserve your tickets via Becca Music Inc's website.

Like Saved Festival 2012's official Facebook page for more updates and I think they'll be having promos for free tickets soon.
