BETTER FINDS: Francis Kong

I've heard the name “Francis Kong” several times but I haven’t read any book wrote by him. I had no plans to know him and his works further until I watched the 700 Club Asia at GMA News TV this week. He shared his testimony about how he started to dream, made it happen, how he got up from depression and how God revealed Himself to Mr. Francis Kong through healing.

I was really impressed by his personality and inspired by his testimony. I remember him questioning why his family wasn't as successful as other Chinese businessmen here in the Philippines and how he took his circumstances as challenges instead of whining around and do nothing about it.

Watch his story via CBN Asia’s Media Center page.

He also emphasized that through “reading and learning nonstop” are keys to success. And he also mentioned about the Bible being complete in teaching about anything we must learn to live and be successful in different things, even in business. God’s wisdom is eternal.

So I googled about Mr. Francis Kong right away and found these very interesting quotes by him, also found at his official website. Click images for larger view.

for everyone with memory gap like me hahaha,
and yes, the truth will set us free (John 8:32)

You don't have to worry about having a poor memory just as long as you tell the truth all the time.
The person who is unafraid of the truth stays courageous and has nothing to fear from lies. Be courageous then.

yes, he can talk about so many things, even about love.. but of course, God is always included.Every time I talk to students and ask them a question: “What is love?” invariably someone in the crowd would shout: “Love is blind.” And I will say that is the most stupid understanding of what love is. Most “love” people know is selfish. The God-kind of love isn’t! Here is my take on this: Love is what is left of a relationship after all the selfishness has been removed. And Louise Beal says it right:
Love thy neighbor as thyself, but choose your neighborhood.
[He is an author of 10 books: His book “One Day at a Time” has been given a most favorable review by Channel NewsAsia of Singapore. While "The Early Bird Catches the Worm": is now translated into the Korean language.] Hence, these books are next to my list to read for this year, yey!

Thank God for using brilliant people like him to not just encourage the world to be positive but to always seek God and His kingdom first and the things we ask from Him will be given to us.
